Last night went over to my FOTWA's house to watch a movie. I was definately in the mood for a horror flick and convinced Kevin that we should watch Rob Zombies "The Devil's Rejects". After the clown-f*cking scene, that shit was promptly turned off...and only 10 minutes in! Next we popped in "Open Water 2: Adrift"...I know, I know...straight to video schlock. However, we were both surprised as it was actually engaging, beautifully shot, and conceptually riveting. Tacky acting and dialogue aside, it was a pretty enjoyable film. Basically a group of old friends reunites and takes a yacht out onto the ocean. They all go for a swim (except for the baby who is down below deck resting) and realize no one put the ladder down before jumping in the water...bascially they are f-ed with no way out of the water...AND the baby is alone sleeping!!!
